Whilst we won’t know the full results until the counts have finished, we do know that the Liberal Democrats have swept the midlands and northwards.
Labour has made large gains in London but faced fierce LibDem opposition outside of London.
It's been a great night for the LibDems who swept the midlands and looked northward to contest the former red wall.
Questions are already being asked by conservatives as to if Boris Johnson as prime minister is more of an asset or a liability.
Similar questions will soon have to be posed to Sir Kier Starmer, who now faces a disgruntled party who didn’t make the gains they may have thought they should.
